Emily Washington

Emily Washington is a graduate of Mathematics from the University of Durham, UK. It was during her undergraduate studies that Emily decided to pursue creative activity by designing college posters for events.

Her creative pursuits eventually led to her study Islamic geometry under the tutorship of Samira Mian and then with Esra Alhamal of the Art of Islamic Pattern. Emily has since decided to concentrate her own practice to biomorphic pattern using natural pigments.

Emily states that becoming a mother has changed her perspective on life and she she has decided to concentrate on pursuing her love of art.
